Maryrose’s expertise is in Management. She held a managerial position with a leading local Company where she was responsible for the smooth running of the administration. She then moved to managing the family business for eleven years where again she mostly dealt with the administrative side of the business as well as the added function of sourcing out foreign contacts. These proved to be vital for the business.
Maryrose joined the Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs in 2004 as the promotion of the role of women in society, gender issues and gender equality were always of great interest to her and currently she is the Executive Coordinator for The Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs (Malta). Her main role in the foundation is to coordinate its events and activities and manages the EU funded projects that the foundation is involved in. She is the foundation’s representative on the Business Platform for Multilingualism which was set up in September 2009. During her course of work Maryrose represents the foundation at various conferences and events related to several European programmes on a local and European level. She was also the Manager of the Europe Direct Info Relay Malta & Gozo from May 2005 until September, 2007.
In 2004 she joined AcrossLimits. As an addition to the team at AcrossLimits she offered vast experience in customer care relations, administration and management. Her responsibilities include: Customer Helpdesk, Sales and Client Relationships and Management of EU funded projects particularly in the field of education, languages, entrepreneurship and Life Long Learning. Moreover she is the main focal point in charge of the EU Opportunities News Letter - the monthly vehicle by which AcrossLimits keeps its clients informed of the latest information from the European Commission. Maryrose speaks native Maltese and English and has basic understanding of French and Italian. Maryrose is also versed in the deaf sign language and lip reading.
