Women Technology Entrepreneurs
The Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs (Malta) is a partner in an EU funded project entitled “Women Technology Entrepreneurs” acronym “WTE”. The project is funded by the European Commission under the Lifelong Learning Programme LEONARDO DA VINCI Multilateral projects for the Development of innovation, grant agreement no. 502127-llp-1-2009-1-IE-LEONARDO-LMP, with partners in Ireland, Malta, Austria, Finland, Spain, Lithuania, Greece and Latvia. The lifetime of the project is of 24 months from 1/01/2010 to 31/12/2011
WTE aims to address the educational deficit by developing a curricula focused on the needs of Women seeking career opportunities as technology entrepreneurs. Curricula will be developed that merges two business types experiencing low female input; notably technology and entrepreneurship. . This will facilitate closer links with the world of work while addressing the current educational deficits in entrepreneurship training.
A digital opportunities road map for women will support entrepreneurial activity and continuing engagement with the concept of Lifelong Learning with strategies to move women into higher value markets
